Welcome to the Center for the Study of Auctions, Procurements, and Competition Policy at Penn State
Welcome from Barry Ickes and Robert C. Marshall
The Center for the Study of Auctions, Procurements, and Competition Policy in the Department of Economics was established in Spring 2005 to bring the expertise embodied in a remarkable group of faculty to leaders in public and private institutions who face important questions and issues concerning competitive allocation mechanisms, such as auctions and procurements, and competition policies.
The objectives of the Center are many fold:
- To create numerous opportunities for mutually beneficial interaction between academic scholars and leading decision-makers in both the public and private sectors.
- To provide financial support, outstanding training and a unique experience in policy oriented research to undergraduate and graduate students at Penn State.
- To convey the findings of our faculty's research to the academic and professional worlds.
